[edizione straordinaria] ION MIHAI PACEPA

I was Khaddafi's handler as he was gearing up these same weapons programs. Moscow had decided in 1972 to use three leftist Arab governments — Libya, Iraq, and Syria — plus Arafat's PLO, to wreak terror against our prime enemy, "American imperial-Zionism." Yuri Andropov, then head of the KGB and soon to be the Soviet leader, assigned Libya to Romania because we already had close intelligence connections with Khaddafi, who, along with Kim Il Sung, had long been eager for chemical weapons, and to acquire Romanian technology for "dirty" suitcase-sized radioactive bombs. Moscow kept charge of Iraq for itself. Andropov told me then that Syria would be next, if our Libyan experiment proved successful; President Hafez Assad's brother was already our well-paid agent [Read the article].

Seeing Red. Spontaneous anti-American demonstrations? Think again. Chi c'è dietro al World Peace Council, ancora vivo nell'organizzare e appoggiare le manifestazioni anti-americane e anti-israeliane.

the WPC has "participated in or co-organized" the current worldwide anti-American demonstrations. On December 14, 2002, the WPC convened a meeting of its Communist-style Executive Committee and then issued an official communiqué stating, in vintage Soviet language: "The Bush administration is intensifying readiness for the unilateral attack on Iraq, and this unilateralism of hegemony is becoming the biggest threat to world peace." An international appeal published by the WPC Secretariat on the same day confirmed that the WPC had indeed been involved in organizing anti-American demonstrations in "USA, Great Britain, Florence, Prague and in many other European capitals, as well as in other countries.... The WPC was created by Moscow in the 1950s and had only one task: to portray the United States as being run by a "war-mongering government." [Read the article]

Russia hid Saddam's WMD. Come la Russia abbia costruito e fatto sparire le WMD irachene.

The Soviet bloc not only sold Saddam its WMDs, but it showed them how to make them "disappear." Russia is still at it. Primakov was in Baghdad from December until a couple of days before the war, along with a team of Russian military experts led by two of Russia's topnotch "retired"generals: Vladislav Achalov, a former deputy defense minister, and Igor Maltsev, a former air defense chief of staff. They were all there receiving honorary medals from the Iraqi defense minister. They clearly were not there to give Saddam military advice for the upcoming war—Saddam's Katyusha launchers were of World War II vintage, and his T-72 tanks, BMP-1 fighting vehicles and MiG fighter planes were all obviously useless against America. "I did not fly to Baghdad to drink coffee," was what Gen. Achalov told the media afterward. They were there orchestrating Iraq's "Sarindar" plan (the plan to liquidate weapons arsenals in the event of defeat in war) . [Read the article]

Arafat. The KGB's MAN (dal Wall Street Journal) e su un sito Romeno una intervista (in romeno) a Pacepa in cui spiega come il nobel per Arafat fu comprat. Ancora Araft's KGB Connections

The KGB always regarded anti-semitism plus anti-imperialism as a rich source of anti-Americanism.... [Read first article] [Read second article]

The Arafat I knew. Un articolo pubblicato sul Wall Street Journal

When I first met Arafat, I was stunned by the ideological similarity between him and his KGB mentor. Arafat's broken record was that American "imperial Zionism" was the "rabid dog of the world," and there was only one way to deal with a rabid dog: "Kill it!" In the years when Gen. Sakharovsky was the chief Soviet intelligence adviser in Romania, he used to preach in his soft, melodious voice that "the bourgeoisie" was the "rabid dog of imperialism," adding that there was "just one way to deal with a rabid dog: Shoot it!" He was responsible for killing 50,000 Romanians. In 1972, the Kremlin established a "socialist division of labor" for supporting international terrorism. Romania's main clients in this new market were Libya and the PLO. A year later, a Romanian intelligence adviser assigned to the PLO headquarters in Beirut reported that Arafat and his KGB handlers were preparing a PLO commando team headed by Arafat's top deputy, Abu Jihad, to take American diplomats hostage in Khartoum, Sudan, and demand the release of Sirhan Sirhan, the Palestinian assassin of Robert Kennedy [Read the article]
